Forgotten screen lock experia 5

Hello for years I have always used a password, one evening for some strange reason I changed it to a pattern and while  sleeping completely forgot it!! Very gutted as I had just upgraded from iPhone to experia!! I have done everything it says online and even went into Vodafone but because it's such a new phone he was unsure. And for some weird reason google isn't even pickin it up Slightly_frowning_Face but when I try to factory reset or hard reset what ever it's called it just vibrates once and Sony appears then vibrates again.
does anyone know how to actually do it successfully on the Xperia 5??

Hi @CB69, welcome to our forum!

There is no way to reset your device using any kind of key combinations so you will need to perform a software repair using a computer. This will reset the device, delete all data stored on the internal storage but in the same process also remove the screen lock.

Tap the link below and you will find a link to the program and instructions. It's important that the device is not turned on and not connected to the computer when you start with the repair.

I hope that helps! Slightly_smiling_Face
