New phone Xperia 5 same screen problem

A while ago I bought an Xperia 5 which in a few weeks got weird stains and stripes on the screen. It went in for repair, turned out it couldn't be repaired, I didn't get it back, and they gave me a new phone. Now this new phone after a few weeks use has gotten the same problem, green lines (or entire green screen on start up instead of black)

and darkness in corners. This appears and disappears randomly...This is very strange. What is going on??

Hello @Erivandenbroek,

do you use the phone only at max brightness and show static images for prolonged periods of time?

Since it the phone uses an OLED screen, it could be burn-in.

No I never use max brightness, also not static images for long times... Ido use the night filter that is built in.

Hello @Erivandenbroek,

it was just a guess - can't be burn in then.

Maybe @RottenFoxBreath has an idea.

This , it's weird to be repeated in another device, could you try removing the SD card and use the phone for a while to see if it will happen again?

Tnx I'll try that.

I took it out yesterday, but it doesn't make any difference unfortunately...

Bummer, I thought there could be smth in common between the two device. A bit of a far stretch but try the SIM card then, and if that too doesn't work, give the software repair a go. If still no luck,  you'd prolly need a second replacement.

I'd say the screen/digitiser is damaged or the cable has been when assembling the phone.

It'll more than likely need replaced so it'll need sent back to be replaced.

There's no fixing that I guess.
