A7s III AF issue

AF doesnt work properly on A7s3 and I tested it with other friends that have also a7s3 and same problem so its not a body but software.

You can see how it jump and I have speed on 3

- after I focus more for distance and come back it works fine but after while jump again.

This happening only in detailes that are close to each other and on lenses 50mm+

Also, do you work with Sony lenses?

Yes I have 2.01 new version and its still happening. But not only for me its general issiue and I am surprise noone is talking about it. I tried it on multiple cameras.

No it was not. I notice this in like first 5 min of using it. Thats why I am surprise there are no more topics about it because recently I tested it on multiple cameras and I can confirm now its a global issiue not just mine. It was happeing on all of the cameras.

You can test it by yourself as well. just use spot focus L or M doesnt matter if you use 50 or 85mm or higher and use two objects close to each other like bottles for example maybe it will work for like 3 times if you go from one to other but then its start instatly jumping. Its impossible shooting any details with a7s3 and AF

A new software update was released about 2 weeks ago, have you tried updating to that?

yes I have 2.01 still no change

Have you tried resetting to factory settings? Or alternatively, since the issue happened with your friends as well, have you tried reaching out to the Sony support reps?
