Alpha 7 mk iii. Problem updating firmware for v1.01 on MacOS 10.13.6

 I have downloaded the new firmware and started the system updater. However after checking that the USB connection is set to Mass Storage (it is), I get the following screen:

And the update can go no further.

What is the solution to this?

Hi Hugh, 

I've checked this for you.  It would seem, if your system software version is Ver.1.01, then the update is not required.

Thank you for this. However my problems are in updating TO v.1.01 FROM version 1.00.

Also I need to know why I get the error messages ai showed before ...

Hi hugriff83,

Welcome to our community!

On the update page on Sony's website, it mentions under the "System Requirements" section: "For macOS 10.13, please ensure the "DriverLoader_1013" has been installed before update your software.". Could you confirm that you have installed this software on your Mac before trying to update your camera?
