Feature Request: Digital ND Gradient

Hi All,

I'd like to propose a feature request. Digital ND Gradient filter. This can be achieved by using different sensitivity on different pixels of the matrix gradualy increasing line-by-line. So in case of difficult lighting conditions bright areas (e.g. sky) can be pictured with lower ISO, while other areas with higher.

Current implementation of HDR/DRO does not work for me, since I don't have control over the area of effect.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Why not use the ND grad feature in Adobe camera raw?

I use it on most of my landscape shots as it gives a huge amount of flexibilty in terms of where you want the graduation line to be, the brightness/darkness, colour saturation etc.

Well, apparently, the postprocessing will need somehow to restore details
in brightest areas, which may be completely lost by the time of picture
being taken.
However, ND filter applied at the moment of shot will preserve those
details.

Actually, this is not a feature request as such, but request to make it
built-in, since using additional in-camera apps is not always convenient or
even possible.
