I'm having a weird issue with my Sony A7S-ii and a third party wired lavalier microphone.
The camera doesn't seem to have any general audio problems. The microphone is brand new and seems to work fine on other devices.
I have my camera set to automatically switch between the viewfinder and the display. I'm getting a high pitched hiss whenever the display is on - when the viewfinder is active, the hiss is gone.
I can't seem to find a similar problem anywhere online, and general interference topics just say to switch off the device that's causing the interference, but obviously I don't want to be restricted to only being able to use the viewfinder when I'm filming. Any idea how I could fix this issue?
