Serial Numbers and Cashback

Has anyone experienced problems filling in the online cashback form..

The serial number on my battery grip VG-C77AM  is showing invalid as an 8 digit number...the form requires 7 digits....cannot find anyway around it or asking support as the same thing happens on the support form...any ideas apprciated please...

same problem - cashback website refuses to accept my 8 digit serial number.

Come one Sony folks - this is not funny, this a ploy not having to pay out ?

for anyone else having this issue - Sony advised to drop the character that is part of the SN to get a 7 digit nr
