I have a Sony a5100. I have had it for a while and never had any problems with it previously. This weekend was my sisters wedding and I took some photos for them but unfortunately they will not open either on my camera or my computer. I have other pictures on the memory card that are fine and open with no problem but a large chunk of the ones that I took over the weekend will not open. When I try to look at them on my camera I can't see any even those that I can on the computer it is just a black screen. The memory card is no where near full and it was formatted in the camera. On the computer there is a file there but it will not open with anything and does not show the photo in the thumbprint. Is there anyway of recovering these photos as they are very important?
Hi @issie2_k and welcome to the Community.
I haven't used it myself but have seen people elsewhere have used
ZAR software to recover images from corrupted cards.
The full suite is a pay for product but recovering images is free

It may be worth a try.
