Supposedly New NEX Camera set in DEMO MODE?

Just bought a NEX-5N. Camera was being funny, turns out it was in DEMO MODE. The camera is supposed to be brand new, are new NEX camera set in DEMO MODE or did the shop sell me a DEMO?

I wouldn't be able to tell you about the state that your camera was originally sold to you - however turning off the DEMO mode is relatively straightforward if you haven't already done so.

The option is under the main SETUP menu and then MAIN SETTINGS. There is some further information on page 27 of the manual which is available here:
