I have an x900E television and have gone through the inetgration steps with Alexa for voice command control with my DirecTV box. I am able to tell Alexa to turn the TV on/off, volume up/down, mute, channel up/down and specific channel numbers or names EXCEPT for one channel.
The channel is 8/ABC. If I ask Alexa to change the TV to channel 8, the TV input is changed from the "Set Top Box" (DirecTV) input on HDMI1 to to the "regular" TV input to channel 8 - which of course has not signal. If I ask for ABC, she doesnt recognize that, although she recognizes all other single digit channels nd titles (ie. Fox, CBX, NBC, ESPN).
Is there a way to ask it differently or have Alexa "learn" that channel?
TIA
Hi tdub, welcome to the Sony Community
Alexa is controlled via Amazon-enabled devices and isn't something Sony would be able to offer support on. However you may find changing the way you pronounce the letter 'A' could help – it has helped me (and my regional accent...) with other voice-recognition issues in the past.
Cheers
