I have the same message, its so fast you dont get to read it all, however it does say something about channel 799 for information,  its only started the last few days.

Mine is also freesat though a sky dish, i kind of ignored it because when it comes to freesat they are constantly messing about changing channels around etc etc, been happening for years with them.  ive done a reset, no change, i did have all my channels in an order i liked with E4 at channel 110,  i have also noticed when this happened that E4 has now being moved on my tv to channel 000.  Its annoying but what can you do, im gonna guess when theyve eventually finished messing about the message will dissapear.

Hi @Steve5624   If you haven't already tried it, perform a soft reset. Hold down the remote power button until you see Restart on the screen. What is the full model number of your TV? It will start with KD or XR.

Hi my TV model number is KD43-X85J . I have tried the reset option via the remote control I cannot get rid this message . I have tried disabling the info banner which doesn't work either . I have tried to delete the channel 799 ( I am on free-sat via a sky dish). I cannot delete the channel I also cannot edit or move the channels nothing happens . It is impossible to select a channel without this BBC message popping up every time .

Hi @Steve5624

Unless you are willing to do a Factory Reset, I would contact Sony. Sony Support Consumer Electronics

If you believe that it is connected to the BBC iPlayer, then you could try clearing the data and cache etc. of the BBC iPlayer and/or Sony Select App.

Hey Steve5624 & graygerman, I believe it's related to the broadcaster, have you tried contacting them? Also, try tuning without, then with the aerial to refresh the tuner and update the frequencies.

Thanks, no need,  as stated earlier its nothing more than channel alterations to freesat and sky,  @Steve5624 From Mid january 23 until end of march the BBC are shutting down ALL BBC Sd channels, followed by rolling out new updated full HD channels, so i expect the message to prob be there for a while as yet and probably quite a few alterations to current channel numbers, Nothing new with this lot lmao, just means by march i shall be once again having to re-order my channels in a way that i like them.

Thank god I've found somewhere to work this out. Too many times I get this when choosing a channel on Freesat and it resets to page 799. I have to scroll back up the channels every time and I'm so bored of it. (2 months ?)

I've factory reset and re-tuned Freesat and no change.......

Can anyone help ?

Hey @weirdy, so what is your TV model and software version? Also do you have an aerial connected to your TV?
