When will Sony update KDL-65W857C to accept Bluetooth headphones Sony WH-H900N

I believe it's a hardware limitation not a software one. Sony does list all the TVs that support Bluetooth in an article.

I always thought it was a hardware limitation, and used to recommend hanging an Optical to Bluetooth converter on the optical output, and using that.

 

But apparently, there is an app, or there are apps, in the Android TV store that when installed on the TV, supply the missing codec or codecs, and success was reported.

 

I can’t vouch for it personally, but this may well be an avenue worth exploring; all it will cost you is a little time.


My favourite bedtime reading is a Sony product manual…
