Bravia not working

Can anyone help.

My bravia TV wont turn off and all i get on the screen is the SONY logo then the 4 coloured dots that swirl around for a few seconds. thats then fades out then the SONY logo appears again.

i have unplugged the TV for a minutes, a few minutes and hours over night. as soon as i plug the TV back in this happens

Any ideas

Could it be possible for you to mention your TV model? You can find the model type number on the manufacturer label attached to the back of your TV. 

From your description it sounds to me that your TV model is the XC80 which is known to exhibit the fault you are experiencing. Unfortunately hardware faults are related to parts which require a repair shop to service. If your TV is still under warranty the service will be offered  free of charge. Else you will receive a quote from the service shop for the repair cost which depending on the current value of your TV might not be worth spending.
