Dimples on Screen of KD55 AG8
I have a dimple in the top left and right of the screen and it makes the viewing experience very poor when watch something in wide screen mode
Sony say that’s its part of the process in making the screen

That's actually a pretty common side product to the manufacturing process of these panels (not just Sony).
As long as it doesn't warp the image on the actual screen (and is limited to warping reflections as shown in the pictures you included), it's not considered a problem per say.
The thinking usually goes like this: the reflected light (when prominent) gets in the way of the viewing experience whether it's warped or not. for a better viewing experience, you should focus on minimizing the reflection rather than try to get it to look uniform.

Yes I’m going to try the tv in another position and see how that goes
However the TV screen should not have any defects and reflections if any should not make the viewing experience poor
