HT-ZF9 Soundbar and tv issue

I have sony ht-zf9 sound bar connected to sony kd-55xe8596 via hdmi 3 arc input. All been working fine but now have an issue of losing tv sound after both have been turned off and back on. I have tried everything from changing hdmi cable through to resetting both to factory settings. I can get it to work again after having both turned off and go through the initial set up but once I switch all off I have no tv sound again. I have a ps4 pro and Xbox series x plugged into the sound bar as well on hdmi 1 and hdmi 2 and both have sound and no issues. The problem only on tv input on soundbar. I've checked all settings and appear correct. Any advice or help will be great as it's driving me mad as not sure if it's a problem with tv arc or soundbar.

Cheers and good luck. I'm hoping it will be a case of new firmware fixing the issue and that It not just an excuse to get me to go away.

Well my soundbar has now been connected and stable for the last few days and I'm not losing any audio at all on the TV input. Not touched the system or changed any cables and both soundbar and TV is still using the current firmware for each. Complete mystery why for weeks wouldn't work and now all back. Hope it stays that way.

Well I've finally figured out what was causing my issue. Ive just changed my TV and bought an LG CX and all has been working fine. That was until I turned on HDMI CEC on my Xbox series X. Once all turned off and on again soundbar lost sound and could no longer be controlled by the TV.  Turned HDMI CEC off and sound came back and after a hard reset TV and soundbar connection was back as it should be. Thinking back to my original issue that started after I I tried the HDMI CEC on the Xbox. It must be some sort of bug that stops the devices connecting.

Suggestion:

on TV

Turn of all WiFi capabilities and used wired  Ethernet

Setup sound bar and tv as wanted / expected

Reboot

Solved.

First night... no drop outs so far!!!!!

Does the flickering remain if you disable Motionflow? I read that some people managed to solve that problem this way
