KD-43XD8088 ARC has suddenly stopped working.

I have had my KD-43XD8088 since January and, up until a couple of days ago, ARC has worked fine with my Marantz NR1607. Now, suddenly, it has stopped working.

I have tried all the trouble shooting steps I could find (Factory reset of the TV and Amp, checking HDMI cables, plugging in connected HDMI items one by one etc.) but nothing works.

For the time being I have got around the problem by using an optical connection to the amp.

My TV and  amp both have the latest firmware.

has anyone had a similar problem?

*** UPDATE ***

I managed to find the culprit.

The problem was caused by my Humax Freesat HDR-1100S which was locked up and completely frozen. After I rebooted the Humax, ARC started working again.
