Bought this tv from Curry’s PC World 4th December 2020, delivered and wall fitted by them.
On the 6th March “no signal” message, signal from Virgin TiVo box, re-booted everything still no signal.
I tested the leads and Virgin box with another tv, no problems.
Curry’s Knowhow collected tv on the 8th March, they still have it “ waiting parts”.
I’m so disappointed, this was my first Sony purchase, I usually buy electrical stuff from Samsung, had Samsung tv’s for years with not one problem, should have stuck with them.

I'm running Sony stuff without any issues for many years now - so I would say this is an exception.
If they cannot repair the TV you might want to ask them to offer an alternative solution.

Sony stuff that was made years ago was all quality stuff; as indeed is most of the stuff they still make, apart from the Android TVs.
@Kuschelmonschter and others have gone into the reasons why in some detail, but the ‘old’ Sony would have wept to see the low specifications of the hardware now employed behind those gorgeous screen displays 😢
