KD55X8509C factory reset complete and now won’t load android

Got a very frustrating issue....

 

To try and remedy some app issues I have this morning performed a factory reset in a controlled manner from within the TV menu

 

This appears to have broken android and the TV now just cycles the four android dots for different periods of time and then reboots

 

i have tried the factory reset using power and vol - but this has no impact

 

Anyone have any idea? Assistance is much appreciated

Just tried another factory reset and now just get a white ring on screen - not even getting as far as the android load

Hi @Jonkerry82   Sorry, it probably won’t help, but have disconnected everything before trying again.

Thanks for the reply - in the early stages HDMI was still connected but currently disconnected everything and removed power from socket to give 30mins + to see if that makes a difference

 

Managed to chat briefly to US support but they couldn’t assist as only a UK Supported model

 

Feels pretty poor for Sony to only have office hours UK support but appreciate the input from the community

Hi @Jonkerry82 i am having a similar issue with my Kd-65x8509c

it shut its self down and performs what looks to be like the soft reboot process. Turns on for around a minute or so then shuts down again. I too contacted E support only to find myself talking to USA and Canada support so they couldn’t help. Logged a ticket with Sony uk support.  Did you find a solution or is the tv still un-useable ?
