HI,
Since the latest update, all the Free to air APPS have gone missing on my TV.
Restarting has not resolved the problem.
How to I bet these back as I've lost BBC iPlayer, ITV, Ch4 etc.
Thanks
Malcolm
Hi @Belltech
Would you please let us know the full model number of your TV? It will start with KD or XR.
Hey @Belltech, which TV model have you got? also how do you receive channels on your TV?
KD-43XD8099
thanks
KD-43XD8099. I use Freeview.
I can get these Chanel’s from set top box but I would rather have access through the TV as usual.

Do you have an aerial connected to the TV directly? Or do you only rely on your box to get them?
Cause we were actually discussing this issue on a different thread a few days ago and the conclusion is:
1- You need to have a internet connection.
2- You need to have an aerial connected to the TV directly ''at least once to tune the channels''.
Then you tune the channels, and try to enable YouView once more, it should work.
Yes, this is a 2016 set, as far as I can tell, so it has the firm divide between Freeview and YouView, and you need to be on the ‘YouView side’ to get the itv and All4 players, though the BBC iPlayer and My 5 should be available on both sides, if the TV has been tuned in.
What set top box are you using?
HI,
Thanks for the reply,
I'm using TalkTalk. I can get the free to aid apps on that. It was working fine up until a couple of months ago.
I don't want to use YouView as it won't let me record the programs to I want to Hard Disk.
Malcolm
You have one of the new TalkTalk PVRs that isn’t YouView?
But my YouView box records to hard disc. Or are you thinking of how it only records to its hard disc, not to your plug-in hard disc?
Yea I agree, if you want the app yet also to record then use an external box instead of USB, cause you will need YouVeiw and as you said if you enable it you won't be able to record from the TV itself.
