Shame on Sony Customer Service - Buy Cello instead

Following on from the refund of of a 43" Bravia due to the Satellite Tuner and / or TV Guide not working and Sony not knowing how to fix it, i did think at the time that CRO (Customer Relations Office), was all to eager to collect my TV and issue a refund. There was also a promise to look at an alternative model after and arrange some sort of good will compensation / discount for all the trouble i had from January to March. Now that i have received a refund, I've not had one word over the past few weeks in response to at least 3 e-mails.  I am still a Sony customer as i have a 65" Bravia with about 3 years still left on the Guarantee, so in case you need to deal with me again in the future, it was pretty folly of you to ignore me now. The main reason i opted for Sony in the first place and come away from Samsung is that they are the only TV's that are Android / Google TV and also have Satellite Tuners. However i have now replaced my Satellite Dish with a Wide Band Aerial to use Freeview T2 and have a brand new TV being delivered tomorrow. Not Sony though, it's a Cello, made in the UK, and about a third of the price. So, well done, shame on you for your post refund ignorance - you have lost a future customer.

Hi @TCKid74

Just in case you are not aware, this is a community of customers, basically just customers trying to help other customers. You are not communicating with Sony.

Cello is a new one on me. Which model did you buy?

Hi LightFoot, yes i understand but it's out there for all to see including anyone from Sony. In a twist of fate though, despite all intentions to support British I'm afraid the Cello had to go back. I was quite disappointed in the sound. I did however but a Sony Bravia 43" X80 as a replacement which i bought from box.co.uk for £519. This was not only £1 cheaper than the 43" X72 i previously had, but also £130 cheaper than all other retailers who were all selling the same 2022 model at £649. And i thought price fixing was illegal!!! So the end result is that I've paid £230 for a digital aerial which i no longer need, though i do prefer YouView to Freesat even with slightly less channels. Odd that it came with 2 remote controls. It's like Sony have split the bigger remote into 2 with some buttons on both and some on one but not the other. And the new X80 came with 5 year Sony guarantee as well which is something you don't get at Currys PC World as they want to upsell you to their Domestic & General policy after the first 12 months.
