Hi,
my 55" Sony will not start. The LED turns on (White) and then it dims down after about 5 seconds. TV shuts down, no Picture at all. Have tried resetting the tv (pressing buttons while connecting Power Cable). Took it to a local repair guy who told me the main board was broken. Sony in Sweden use a third-party repair Company. Just sending the TV to them would be 210 Euro.
Does anyone know if just buying a used mainbord would be sufficient? With the same part number:

The repair Company will not even give me an estimate of how much they would charge to change the main board, they told me to send the TV to them and then I would have to pay for them looking for what´s wrong.
Damn Sony not caring about their customers. Just scrapping a 3,5 year old 55" is insane.
