Sony KDL-55w805cbu TV

hi there

i was wondering if anyone can help me.

a few days ago i brought a Sony KDL-55w805cbu TV but i seem to find that the audio seems very washed out i have played around with the settings but i can't seem to get it to work normal. when people are talking on a film or freeview it sounds like they are talking out of a box the audio doesn't sound right. is there anything i can do to get this working?

Hi there

I am unsure if this is the case of the fact that the speakers in these TVs are rather basic or a settings adjustment needed (or even hardware issue).

Background - As TVs have got thinner and thinner, there is only so much space in the TV for the speakers, hence the rise in the popularity of external audio systems like soundbars etc.

In the sound settings of my TV, I have:

Sound
 - ClearAudio+ Off
 - Sound Mode Standard
 - Surround Off
 - Sound Restoration (DSEE) Off
 - Voice Zoom 0
 - Night Off
