Sony Repair/ Warrenty for kd-xe9005 55 inch tv

I'm absolutely in horror today when I turned on my kd-xe9005 sony tv cost me 1300 in January 2018 it has a 5 year warranty I have the receipt still regardless of that it my prize possession I look after it with such care never touch the screen and now the screen is faulty, I soft hard and fully reset it tried all sonys advice there is no fix ? am I due to be covered for repair or replacement? I hope Sony will get back to me logged the case under case number available on request to SONY ... I just can't wait for a response literally so upset...

That doesn't look good at all.

 

Could you post a clearer picture showing the whole screen? Do the lines appear even if you disconnect all external devices? Is the TV up to date?

No they don't Sony have officially told me it's physical damage IT IS NOT !! anyways they are not willing to uphold my 5 year warranty what do i do ??

cables, reset soft hard update software nothing worked. 😞 i told sony I have no kids no pets just me and my fiance we don't touch the screen ever and a guy over the phone says NO it is and they apparently have no complaints dept or no way to take it further he said the outcome stands major upset ...15493795206481211585506.jpg

Hi Noel,

 

I know it may not make sense to you, but the bottom left corner of the screen shows an anomaly that is always a sign of physical damage. It may not be clear what really happened but there must have been some sort of impact. 

 

You should still be able to contact a service centre near you to have the TV inspected for more confirmation, although that's probably going to cost you.
