Sony TV SSD Recordings!
Howdy,
I would like to know how I can copy my recordings made with my Sony TV XH90 on my PC? I know that the file is encrypted and cannot copy them directly to the PC via USB, basically, I can see the video files only on my TV.
Is there a way to copy them on my PC?

The answer is simply no. With any TV of any brand

I can't believe that even in 2021 there is not a solution to decrypt the video files from the storage.

Encryption is made in a way that prevents it, unless it is garbage.
For most other companies a solution was developed (at least in Italy): they stripped away altogether the PVR feature from TVs (i.e. Samsung, LG)

So basically i can't do anything to copy the files, only to view them on TV?

If the programmes could be copied to PCs, then bad people might make pirate copies and sell them.
Accordingly, recording is deliberately set up to allow timeshifting, on the original TV only (not even on another TV, even if the same make and model) and nothing else.
My favourite bedtime reading is a Sony product manual…
