Sony X90H Chomecast Built in, cannot be added to google home speaker group

Does anyone know how to get the Sony x90H android tv added to a google home speaker group.  

I can cast movies and music to this TV just fine directly from my phone. However, When i try to add this tv to my speaker group, it doesnt show up as an option.  I've seen that google enabled this functionality earlier this summer around July 2020. It doesnt seem to be working on this TV though.  The chromecast built in version i have installed on the TV is 1.50.227001 which was updated sept 1, 2020

And my google home app on my iphone is 2.28.108

If you can cast to your TV from devices on the same network, it's functioning as intended. I'd suggest checking with Google if they've made up their mind on the feature
