Sony xh90/xh900

I have purchased the xh90 uk model 2 months ago. I have read many articles online regarding the soft/blurry image problems related to this model. What i would like to know and feel sony should make clear is this TV capable of producing 4k 120hz or and other resolution @ 4k non soft/burry images?.  Some experts on YouTube and Web sites state that it can not do 4k natively on  PER PIXEL VERTICAL LINES. Is this a limitation of the hardware the mediatek chip? Or a software issue . I feel sony should give a straight answer regarding this matter. Has anyone asked sony directly to simply say YES or NO?

Have you asked it yourself? Keep in mind that this is a Sony User Community, not Sony itself

I have not asked directly that is why I have joined this community, to find out if any one else could shed some light regarding this issue before I contact sony directly.

Let's think out loud together, do you know what a " 4k natively on  PER PIXEL VERTICAL LINES " means? to sum it up the number of pixels, or "the number of points that light up", in an LCD screen is decided, and this "number of pixels" is the "native resolution, so if you're displaying a picture with a larger resolution on a display with a lower resolution, you get black points in between, and to compensate the colours will seem washed out. and vise versa. To me what they're saying simply doesn't add up, unless you're displaying images larger than 4K!

It is nothing to do with receiving resolutions lower than 4k@ 120hz its being able to display fully 4k natively no lines missed when the refresh rate is 120hz. The screen shot i posted is the same 4k image one @ 60hz the other 120hz its very obvious when images are compared that the sony xh90 has a problem when displaying the very same static image of 4k at the 2 refresh rates .Again can the sony xh90 display the exact same 4k static image which is crisp and detailed @ 60hz with the same level if detail and sharpness @120hz with no loss ?

I tried checking with Sony support over the last few days and their response was this:

"4K 120Hz support is a relatively new TV feature designed with video content in mind rather than still images. The advantages of the 120Hz refresh rate, such as smooth and flicker-free video are therefore most noticeable when using the TV in Game/Graphics mode."

Which seems to indicate that it might improve in the future (also the fact that support for 4K120 is listed as "for PS5" seems to indicate another update anyway).

Hope this helps!
