It must have been a fault with the either the speaker casing or the speaker itself I think, as the replacement tv is fine

Are you kidding or did I get it wrong?

Do you know that you bought a TV that has not speaker and produce sound by vibrating the screen?

Yes im aware the sound is emitted through the screen but you shouldn't be able to hear the unit or speaker vibrate when dialogue, and other sounds are emitted. Its a vibrating sound when a particular frequency is reached, e.g the midtone or bass depth when someone is talking. I believe the sound is vibrating through the tv backing backing. I only had the tv set at volume 28 the other day with the bass set to 0 and the other channel frequencies on the equalizer below that level

So I get it wrong

It is difficult to give you an opinion without listening what you hear. It could be some assembling done badly, you may want to contact the technical support for it.

That's ok. You're right, it is difficult to assess without being there. Ill contact support to see what they have to say. Thanks for the reply 👍

Do let us know once you do as this can be helpful to know, especially for other new owners in the future as well (I for one, have no clue what would be abnormal in this case).

Yep.  I get it on my A9. The TV is mounted on a Chepstow Plus using the VESA mount.  The sound is always brilliant..but on some frequencies either in dialog or music, there is a vibrating noise that emanates from the rear of the set.  It seems to be focused on the HDMI area because if you place your finger on the plastic on the back, it stops.

This is my second TV after the first one had rendering issues in 4K. So far my experience with this "Master series" TV hasn't been good.

@QuinnDexter Have you tried reaching out to the Sony support reps? If so, did they provide any kind of insight?

Hi Joe, sorry for the late response. I had a listen to the tv the other night with the volume set to 20/21. Someone spoke during a news bulletin and sure enough the mid tone from some dialogue caused the vibration. I had a listen to the back of the set during this time and I believe the vibrations were coming from the plastic unit, housing the speakers. I gently pressed the centre of the plastic unit during the dialogue and it seemed to solve the issue, which I believe is what you did, (or something similar). I've yet to contact support but will try this afternoon, if not then tomorrow. Ill let you know how I get on.
