TV showing a dark patch

Hi my tv is showing dark patch is there anyway to get rid of it i will attach pictures its about a year and 9 months old IMG_5717.JPGIMG_5719.JPGIMG_5721.JPG

It is a problem that could be found on any tv with a backlight system. Nothing easy could solve it unless you have a valid warranty and try to convince the technician that it is out of tollerance

Thank you for your reply i am looking in to the warranty as its not 2 years old and European warranty is 2 years

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps like updating the software: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-xf75xx_x75xxf-series/kd-55xf7596/download...

 

Or resetting to factory settings?

Be that as it may, I don't think this would be considered a fault as these patches are considered normal on LCD/LED panels.

 I purchased a Sony 65 inch television from Curry’s pc world Blanchardtown Co Dublin on the 25 November 2018 it started to develop a dark patch on the screen so when I was at my nearest store Carlow on October of 2020 I reported it to have it fixed I was told at the time of purchase it had a five years warranty but was still under EU warranty anyway I was told that the Curry’s Knowhow team would pick it up and I would be charged which I had no problem with. As the weeks went by there was to sign of them contacting me so I rang Curry’s multiple times to get this sorted I emailed the Knowhow team and finally in December they contacted me and arranged to have the TV picked up on the 2nd January free of charge as the email was sitting there for over a month and apologized then they changed the pick up to the 7th and then the 09th before picking it up i then got a text message from them saying home service confirmed for Sat the 30th of January which didn’t turn up I contact them and they had to record of that I then got another text saying it was changed to Monday the 1st of February and it never showed up so I rang them again the problem is you ring them and you get through to the UK and they cant put you through to the Irish store finally I got through to a girl and she told me the TV cant be fixed and told me it was out of warranty I said it was not that EU warranty is for 2 years she then offered me £506 which I told her was an insult as I paid €1149 for the TV she then asked me would I except it and I said no return my TV I had been is contact with the Carlow store through out this time to try get it sorted but their hands are tied as all decisions are made in the UK I even offered to pay something towards getting a replacement instead of going to the claims court but they told me they can’t again. I then made a call to the delivery team that collected my TV as I had kept their number to see when my TV will be returned and they had to record of it so the man gave me the number of the repair center in the UK when I rang and then was told the my TV would be fixed and return to me on Saturday the 13th which the Carlow store confirmed to me and then I got a call Saturday asking me do I want my TV returned  and gave me a date of the 18th this is more than a joke now its over 5 weeks since they collected it I have all the text messaged and emails to prove this I took picture of the TV and video to show that there was no marks or scratches on it and to show the dark patch but at this stage I want a replacement or my money back as want kind of state will the TV come back in after all that time I have tried to get this sorted but Curry’s won’t do anything this is in to the fifth month now and I have lost hours ringing them and days waiting around for them to collect and deliver the TV
