Why does the Channel Editor not use the LAN connection?

This is so 2005. Export the channel list to a USB stick. My ancient DVB-SD receiver did that already. Why can't I access and edit the channel list through the LAN port? Is there a hac.., err, workaround?

Even worse, the editor is coded in Java. Due to the security risks of the Java RTE,
JRTE is not available any longer for 64 bit Windows systems that rund the latest
Firefox.

Time to rebuild the editor from scratch!

Cheers,

Chattermark.

LOL. Unfortunately this is the new editor which has been written from scratch some weeks ago ^^ .

Sony doesn't have the right mindset for software development. They are a semiconductor company today. The whole software around those BRAVIA sets is just awful. You might want to read my review. I recommend using the SDBEditor which unfortunately is also a Windows tool, but much more powerful. You can at least re-sort favorite channels with that...
