XE9005 freeview recordings keep failing

I have a few shows (on at different times of day) set to record Monday->Friday. They record fine for a day or two, then fail with messages about the recordings being in the past or overlapping. There are no overlaps. Nothing else is recording at the time, and nor is the TV in use on another freeview channel.  I have to delete the recordings, and re-add them in order to get them working again.

 

I'm using an external hard drive fwiw.  Am at a total loss as to why its happening, but its very frustrating.

 

Does anyone know why? (other than incredibly buggy software by Sony).

Hi @ctafield and welcome to the community,

 

You could try manually setting the date and time of your TV and then try recording again to see if this resolves the problem.

 

Usually the date and time is synced with the network or broadcast, but if the signal is not available then the time might not be correct - so manually setting the time could help if this is the issue.
