Hello all, I was hoping for some advise please. I purchased The Newly released Sony XR75Z9J at the price of £7,999.00 and to my disbelief within 2 months the price plummeted to £7,299.00. i could understand if the Tv had been on the market for a year or so but not 2 months. Is there any point in making a complaint or not and who to?
Thank you kind regards.
Hi @u695430 and welcome to the Community
Can I just check if you mean the XR85Z9JU?
Secondly may I ask who you purchased it from?
Hi jumpsuit
many thanks for message
No definitely the Sony Bravia XR
Master series XR 75Z9J (2021)
and I purchased from Sony Centre Leeds
any advice much appreciated
cheers
Hi again
I'm a little confused as the model you say you have was never £7,999.00.
The XR75Z9J price is only £5,299 from Sony currently
(unless you made a mistake when typing your original post and you meant £5,999
instead of £7,999 etc.)
In all honesty retailers have the right to lower their prices but have you contacted the store
to raise the issue with them?
Jumpy
Hi Jumpy
silly me you are right it was £6999.00 when I bought and then reduced. I have made contact and
I am satisfied with the reply that it was out of their control
thanks for your help
Rob
You're welcome Rob
Sorry you had to take a bit of a hit on it 😞

Hi again
One idea for you in the future is to buy online as you get 14 days to return an item.
"Sony Centres Online Returns Policy
We offer a 14 day returns guarantee, which means that if for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase you can return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of the date you received the goods, and we will issue a full refund of the original purchase price paid. The only condition of this policy is that the return meets the following requirements*
It wouldn't have helped in your case as it was 2 months but at least forewarned is forearmed 🙂
Jumpy
Hey there,
Sorry about that! It must've hurt, but If you're enjoying the TV, maybe that would soften the blow?
Cheers.
