Youview KD-48A9

Had pretty much all the catch up apps and utube stop working through the youview app. 
I had just an issue with UHD on iPlayer before but now the lots stopped, plus itv, all 4, utube etc. Anyone else had issues or an idea for a fix ? I tried resetting the app to factory settings but that didn’t work. Thanks

what happens when you try to launch either of these apps?

yes I’m on that version of the firmware. 
I think it was a youview update that may have caused the issue. There is a note on one of their recent updates saying they are aware it’s been causing issues and should not be downloaded on my model tv. Unfortunately it did it automatically!

I ended up doing a factory reset of the tv on the suggestion of Sony. The catch up apps work again, but still not the UHD which stopped late November.

I had a problem with the UK terrestrial catch up services (Youview) which maybe totally unrelated but here goes.

First I lost sound on all services, then they stopped working altogether. My TV has both a wired internet connection and uses WiFi.

Following advice from Sony Support, I did a soft reset and disconnected the wired ethernet. Then I let to set connect to the home router via WiFi. I reconnect the wired ethernet. All was fixed.

The "fault" happened again today, a soft reset fixed it,

Not sure what's going on after the last update but so many people are complaining. It's good that there are workarounds, which mainly seem to be related to clearing the app's cached data. Hoping Youview would fix it soon
