hi can anyone help,my just got a sony dcr-dvd camcorder and i cannot get it to connect to my windows 7 computer please help...

Hi robgregs, welcome to the Sony Forums :slight_smile:


The camera will need to be connected via it's DV-out (i.LINK) port, as USB support for older cameras pretty much ended with Windows XP. Your options for connecting direct to PC are outlined in this thread: https://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/message/1265675#1265675


However, with a DVD-based camera you do have the option of finalising the DVD and using a disc reader to import to your PC, using video editing software such as Windows Movie Maker.
