Error Message: C:31:23

I have a Sony DCR-PC100E camcorder and an error message C:31:23 keeps appearing.

I have used a tape head cleaner for 15 secs but nothing changes. I have also pressed the reset button. Can anyone offer some advice? Thank you.

As being described on the operating instructions of this camera, you can try removing the tape and reinserting it. Or you can try disconnecting the camera from the mains and removing the battery pack for at least 2 minutes, and then try using it again.
