I have a HDR-HC1E camcorder, with a problem regarding the side screen. The problem started when the Wide Angle, Telephoto and record buttons stopped working. Later on the complete screen failed - no buttons, no picture and therefore no menus.
The only way the screen works, is by rotating it 180 degrees, and then folding it back against the side of the camera body. Just before the screen touches the body, the picture re-appears and the menu functions are available. The three buttons at the side of the screen still do not function.
PS - the Telephote, Wide angle and record functions all work on the camera body
Any thoughts anyone as to the problem
