help with my new handycam hdr pj650

Hello, I'm making some videos with my hdr pj650 I'm shooting in the highest quality but when I download them to my Mac they look like a low quality. I have a YouTube channel and I bought this camera to improve the quality of the videos but they are similar than the old ones. I make the edition with imovie.
I hope you can help me.

Hi, I too have a PJ650, but use Windows. I use Adobe Premiere to work with my captured video,

I am thinking it maybe the software on your computer that is causing this ?

Thanks for the help! So do you think if i use final cut for mac i could get de best quality? Do you have any video made with the camara on youtube?
