PMB software does not install : does not recognise original ImageMixer CD from DCR-SR90E

I downloaded "Picture Motion Browser" software download for users of "Picture Package" or "ImageMixer for HDD Camcorder"

from

it hten failed to install PMB56_Installer1104c.exe for my DCR-SR90E on a freshly installed XPHome machine.

My original disk part number is 2-573-613-03.

The installer fails to recognise this as a valid disc to upgrade from : further investigation using procmon.exe shows setup.exe is looking for the following directories on the ImageMixer CD :

E:\PPackage

E:\DVDDriver    

E:\Demo

However my ImageMixer CD only has 1 subdirectory : E:\ImageMixer.

Please assist.

I have a DCR-SR100 and also have this problem. The software fails to identify my ImageMixer CD.

Help appreciated.

I have the same problem. Even I could not find support page in german web site. Although I did registered my Cam, when I click on it I get only the answer "The page requested is not available".
