Photography competition – "Transport and traffic"

Grab your smartphone, compact camera or digital SLR and enter our monthly photo competition! We want to see how you view the world - upload your best statement photo for the chance to win a fantastic prize.

Transport. Sometimes it's our ride to freedom, often it's our ticket to work, and when we're stuck in traffic, it's usually our source of frustration.

The theme of this month's photography competition is "transport and traffic" - send us your best shot!

Street photographers: Don’t forget to familiarise yourself with the privacy laws in your country, and when in doubt, always ask permission. Please avoid number plates in your pictures since they contain personal information.

The prizes

Terms & Conditions

1. This promotion is open to residents of the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Greece, Serbia, Slovakia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Turkey & Russia only and entrants must be aged 18 or over.

2. Entrants will need to select the correct label for their country of residence. Entrants who select the wrong country will not be eligible to win.

3. Entrants can apply for competition by uploading images to the competition submission gallery. The Jury will create a short list of images out of this gallery with images that take place in the final competition.

4. The maximum number of competition entries is limited to 25 images per participant.

   Minimum picture size must be 1200 pixels at the long side of the image. For panorama pictures short side must have a minimum size of 800 pixels.

5. Images in competition gallery that have not been chosen for the short list will be moved to the main gallery after competition.

6. No purchase is necessary to participate in the competition.

7. In order to be eligible to enter the competition you must have a Community profile. If you do not have one, you can register on the site for free at http://community.sony.co.uk.

   Members of Sony and their supporting agencies are not allowed to join the competition.

   The three overall winners of particpating countries will receive one of the above shown prizes.

8. The competition runs from 12:00 (noon) CET on Saturday 23 November 2019 and will close on Sunday 05 January 2020 at 23:59 CET. No entries will be accepted after 23:59 CET on that date.

9. The short list will made public on 06 January 2020. Pictures will be judged by independent jurors. The winning picture selection will take place on Wednesday 08 January 2020. The judge's decision is final. (Votes are only a reference and are not the deciding factor.)

10. The winner will be notified by email within 2 days of the selection having taken place.

    If no response to the notification is received from the winner within 72 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner.

11. The prize will be delivered to the winner within 6 weeks after the date of response from the winner.

12. Any taxes payable in relation to the prize will be for the winner to bear.

13. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. No cash or credit alternative is available.

    Should the prize become unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a substitute, similar prize of approximately equivalent or greater value.

14. By entering the prize draw, participants will be deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
