DCS-WX500

I'm struggling to transfer images from my new camera to my iPhone. As far as I can tell, the camera is connected to home WIFI and has connected to my phone. The process starts but then I get a message to say the process has failed.

I suggest not to use your home WiFi, but your cameras WiFi.

To make life easiers first go PlayMemories Camera Apps

Goto select and select your camera.

Connect to your computer using USB

Download and install Intelligent Remote Control.

After you have done so go Applications and start remote control.

You'll be surprised with a nice QR code screen

Open Imaging Edge Mobile and connect to your camera.

Having done so you'll be able to connect to your camera with a click.

From now on, on your camera first display a picture.

Then push the Fn button on the back.

Up comes the possibility to transfer your pictures.

Your camera will setup a hotspot to connect to.

On your iPhone open Imaging Edge Mobile and connect to tour DSC-WX500 using the cameras WiFi connection.

Enjoy!

Yes, I've been using Imaging Edge Mobile 😞

I'm getting really frustrated now. I have managed to transfer photos to my iPad and my husband's iPhone, but the camera refuses to transfer to my iPhone.

@plumduff, did you check if the iphone that's not accepting the pics is compatible with the software?

As far as I can tell 🙄

@plumduff, if it's working with two other devices but not a specific one, it might be a compatibility issue. I suggest that you look into this further😌

Hi HannahEd01

How do I find out if it's compatible or not? I've followed the links that pop up to check, and there doesn't appear to be an issue. I have an iPhone SE operating iOS 15.1.1 and the Imaging Edge Mobile is version 7.6.0.

Thanks. I’ve looked here before. I don’t really understand what it means. I have an iPhone SE with iOS 15.4.1 and I’m using version 7.6.0 of Imaging Edge Mobile. I think it’s suggesting my phone is compatible. But I’m not sure why it says SE 2nd. Maybe it’s not compatible.
