DCS-WX500

I'm struggling to transfer images from my new camera to my iPhone. As far as I can tell, the camera is connected to home WIFI and has connected to my phone. The process starts but then I get a message to say the process has failed.

My iPad is an Air 3 running iOS 14.7.1 and Imaging Edge Mobile 7.6.

Is this compatible? It works.

@plumduff, on the link it doesn't say it supports 15.4.1, it only says 15. That might be the issue here.

This is true. It doesn't say anything at all about iOS 15.4.1 which isn't very helpful. I've now had an update to 15.5 and it's still not working ☹️

I suggest not to use your home WiFi, but your cameras WiFi.

To make life easiers first go PlayMemories Camera Apps

Goto select and select your camera.

Connect to your computer using USB

Download and install Intelligent Remote Control.

After you have done so go Applications and start remote control.

You'll be surprised with a nice QR code screen

Open Imaging Edge Mobile and connect to your camera.

Having done so you'll be able to connect to your camera with a click.

From now on, on your camera first display a picture.

Then push the Fn button on the back.

Up comes the possibility to transfer your pictures.

Your camera will setup a hotspot to connect to.

On your iPhone open Imaging Edge Mobile and connect to tour DSC-WX500 using the cameras WiFi connection.

Enjoy!
