Does anyone which format Sony cameras with integrated GPS units - for example, the recently released DSC HXV7 - store their GPS data in? For example NMEA, GPX, KML? I had initially assumed that these cameras would write the GPS data directly into the image files, but this is apparently not the case. Counterintuitively, you are supposed to use the Sony Motion Browser software to integrate the information. This is a problem for me, as I use a Mac and Motion Browser is Windows-only. However, there are several Mac GPS tagging programmes available, so the HX7V might still be an option for me if I can find out which format Sony uses to store the information.
Yes, I am aware that I could install Windows, but that would be expensive, fiddly and time-consuming. I don't want to have to launch a whole other operating system every time I want to download a few photos.
