how do I change the date format to upload photos to computer in Y-M-D? I have altered my HX90 camera to show dates in that format but it still uploads as D-M-Y.

Welcome to the community. 

I'm not sure if your computer is a Mac or uses Windows, but here is a link to support information for Playmemories Home for a Mac, and for Windows. If you download one of those 'How To Use' downloads and search in there for 'date format', you may find your answer. If not, please contact Sony Support for assistance with this.
