PlayMemories Website - Timelapse Purchase Problems

Dear all!

 

I have been trying to purchase the timelapse application on my RX100 IV camera, but I am unable to finish the process. After finally confirming that I want to purchase the application an error occurs.

 

Installing the free App „My best portrait“ worked fine though. 

 

Could someone please fix this?

Dear Black Rose,

 

this hint should have come from Sony support, thank you very much! First I tried it from my iMac, this approach failed for unknown reasons (could never establish a connection to the camera, used Safari and Google Chrome). Then I used a Windows device with the Google Chrome browser, this worked perfectly. 

 

Getting this app on my camera was ridiculously complicated and time-consuming!

Have you tried installing the application from the PlayMemories Camera apps website itself then moving it to the camera?

Hi Pascale_F,

 

I'm just wondering if you had any luck finding an answer to this that doesn't involve using a Windows machine (I don't have one). So far as I can tell, the purchase app function on the camera is broken - I get the same error screen as Suiris and attempting to install it via a Mac doesn't work on either High Sierra or Mojave - in both cases, the Sony PlayMemories Camera Apps downloader does not install correctly which means you can't download the applications.


This is really frustrating and I can't see anything on the PlayMemories support pages to help.
