Sony Cybershot DSC-HX99 only records video for five minutes

I had to make a video for my teacher (remote learning due to some pandemic) and I thought I'd use my new camera, but after only five minutes it silently stops recording! I can't find a setting to record for longer than five minutes. I have set the standby time to 30 minutes but it still cuts off video after 5. Is there something I overlooked? Is there a firmware update available or something like that?

Hi

My guess is that your filming 4K and it stops because it's getting hot inside.

Set your video settings to HD and it'll serve you longer.

On Xperia smartphones it works this way.

That was it! I put it back to HD and that seems to work. Thanks!
