Sony HX20V and sunshine

When it is a really sunny day, I can't see anything on the screen - can anyone advise on how to rectify this?

I have been reading about a company called atFolix who make screen protectors, and they claim that their product can make screens far more readable in direct sunlight. I have not tried these myself, but there is an item on Amazon that has been cut specifically for the HX20V screen. There are some reviews and a link here:

The reviews are generally positive, but one or two are unsure about the anti-glare properties so it may be worth trying it anyway.


Another option would be to purchase a screen hood that is compatible with 3-inch screens (the size of the HX20V LCD). The following is an example of this:
