Each year, the What Hi-Fi? awards recognise the year’s best products. The magazine also selects an individual who has made an outstanding personal contribution to the industry. We’re very proud to announce the 2018 recipient is Eric Kingdon, Sony Europe’s technical marketing specialist for audio!

 

Eric joined Sony in 1984 and has become something of a legend. He’s worked on product development as well as fine-tuning the sound of many of our best products. Most recently, he worked on the STR-DN1080 receiver, which has been entered into the What Hi-Fi? Hall of Fame. Eric has also worked on launching new formats.

Eric will be well known to Sony Community members who’ve met him over the years. You can also watch him on our YouTube channel, presenting ‘First Look’ guides to new products and demonstrating his passion for audio technology:
