Over the course of each year Sony are involved in countless events all across Europe, but since its introduction in 2014, The Photography Show has become a much anticipated figure in the photography calendar.
Held in the NEC Birmingham from March 19-22, it’s a show of truly colossal proportions. Over 200 brands (including ourselves) will be in attendance this year, and each of them will be showcasing their latest and greatest cameras, lenses and accessories - ranging from the consumer-friendly to the highest of the high-end. From our side, there’ll be the opportunity to take a close-up look at our latest products, including the α7R II, α7S II and the brand new α6300.
There’s also a sprawling schedule of demos, seminars and workshops spread across the four days, giving you a chance to get hands-on with some of the amazing equipment on show and learn from the very best teachers in the industry.
At our stand we’ll have daily workshops from our Ambassador Nick Webster, who’ll be showcasing all of our latest gear, demonstrating the fast autofocus system in our Alpha cameras and running through 4K shooting and slow-mo videos. On the Sunday and Monday we’ll also be sponsoring two talks by wedding cinematographer Jeff Wood, who will be talking about his life in videography and dishing out some invaluable advice in his “Diary of a Wedding Cinematographer” using the α7S II.
This year is expected to attract over 30,000 visitors, ranging from hobbyists and enthusiasts to seasoned professionals and members of the trade. Simply put: it’s a must-attend for any photography fan.
