Camcorder repair

My fdr-ax53 fell from the tripod and is now dead. The fluid head took the damage but the Cam was obviously severely shocked. Is there any point in seaking a repair?

Hi @Hoopsii85, welcome to the Community.

It depends on the damage, but the only way to find out whether a repair is uneconomical is to get it checked out by a service/repair place, and they will charge an upfront fee. 

You could book it in with a Sony-approved repairer here, or ask at your local camera shop.
