Hi
Hope this is the right place to ask this question. My cashback claim for the Sony RX100M4 that I recently purchased has been rejected on the grounds that I havent sent the correct invoice. They say I have sent the online confirmation order instead.
I have definately sent a copy of the invoice that came in the package with the camera. It states clearly on the top, Advice Note. Theres £100 at stake here, hence why I'm hoping to get it resolved.
Any advice please
regards
Hi @silure130
An Advice note is simply a document sent by the supplier to inform you that goods you ordered have been dispatched. You'll need to get hold of an invoice (which should include full description, price and details such as VAT amount, etc) and submit that instead.
Cheers
Micl
Good luck, my battle has been on going for weeks now, rarely get a response to emails. Get generic scripted responses on the phone one minute and then it gets insinuated that I'm a liar and trying to commit fraud.
Unbelievably disappointing experience and still on going. There also appears to be a complete lack of accepting the various Acts relating to online purchases and trading standards.
It would be a nice to speak to someone who wasn't just an automaton and actually able to help
My cashback claim has dragged on for some weeks now , all correct docs sent on more than one occasion and they finally said my claim was invalid. I have since gone to the retailer with who my purchase contract is with and they are taking it up with Sony, and it appears not the first time they have had to intervene.
I will give them time but if they have no luck with Sony I will expect them , the supplier to me to honour the cashback as it was an advertised sales promotion.
Good luck with yours.
I’ve been trying for weeks to get the £150 cashback for my RX10 3 , it’s seriously looking like a con.
I have gone to the dealer I purchased from who are supposedly chasing Sony but I guess it’s trading standards next.
I hate dishonesty.
Keep up the fight
Took best part of a month for them to agree to my claim, still waiting for the payment that they said would be in my bank in 5 working days, 6 working days ago...
I had the same problem with my claim with Sony telling me I had sent incorrect information which what a lie seemingly to delay and hope I would just give up , after a few efforts I went back to my dealer WEX in Norwich and a very helpful young lady Nicola contacted the Sony rep and successfully obtained my cash back.
If you have no luck with Sony contact your dealer with who your purchase contract in law is , bearing in mind they will have advertised the cashback as an incentive for you to buy, and ask them to obtain your cash back.
Good luck.
