Cyber-shot DSC-W830 - PC not accessing photos on memory card

Camera and PC were working fine yesterday.   After taking several dozen photos today, problems encountered.  My PC doesn't have a port for the memory card so I use a USB connection.  PC sees the Removable Disk drive; sees the DCIM folder on the camera's memory card; sees the 100MSDCF folder....... all normal.  But when I open the 100MSDCF folder, only three photos show that were on the internal memory (used before I bought and inserted the card).  However, I can see all the the 50 or so photos on the card when I 'playback' on the camera.

I guess the two devices have a snit on, and won't talk to each other.   I need these photos asap - I make my living making stuff, photographing it and selling it on-line.  Help!!

There is information about Memory Cards in the Q&A on the support page here. If you require a solution urgently, I'd advise you to give the Support team a ring after the weekend. You'll find their contact details here. Good luck!

Hello @The_Antem,

you can always get a SD-card reader for your USB-port - something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EFPX9XA/

I use the same one with all my cameras and I am very satisfied with it.

As for your current setup since you need the photos urgently, I recommend to download PlayMemories Home, since it is very reliable in seeing the photos on memory cards inside the camera and importing them:
